Surfaces of Constant Temperature for Glauber Dynamics
نویسنده
چکیده
The wavefunction of a single spin system in a prepared initial state evolves to equilibrium with a heat bath. The average spin q(t) = p↑(t)− p↓(t) exhibits a characteristic time for this evolution. With the proper choice of spin flip rates, a dynamical Ising model (Glauber) can be constructed with the same characteristic time for transition of the average spin to equilibrium. The Glauber dynamics are expressed as a Markoff process that possesses many of the same physical characteristics as its quantum mechanical counterpart. In addition, since the classical trajectories are those of an ergodic process (the time averages of a single trajectory are equivalent to the ensemble averages), the surfaces of constant temperature, in terms of the model parameters, may be derived for the single spin system.

GCMC Glauber dynamics study for structural transitions in YBCOx (0<x<1), HTc system
We have chosen an Ising ASYNNNI (ASYmmetric Next Nearest Neighbor Interaction) model under a grand canonical regime to investigate structural phase transition from a high symmetric tetragonal (Tet) to a low symmetric orthorhombic in YBa2Cu3O6+x , 0<x<1, HTc system. متن کاملDynamics of 2 + 1 Dimensional Sos Surfaces above a Wall: Slow Mixing Induced by Entropic Repulsion
We study the Glauber dynamics for the (2+1)d Solid-On-Solid model above a hard wall and below a far away ceiling, on an L × L box of Z with zero boundary conditions, at large inverse-temperature β. It was shown by Bricmont, El-Mellouki and Fröhlich [12] that the floor constraint induces an entropic repulsion effect which lifts the surface to an average height H ≍ (1/β) logL. As an essential ste...
متن کاملUniversal, finite temperature, crossover functions of the quantum transition in the Ising chain in a transverse field
We consider finite temperature properties of the Ising chain in a transverse field in the vicinity of its zero temperature, second order quantum phase transition. New universal crossover functions for static and dynamic correlators of the “spin” operator are obtained. The static results follow from an early lattice computation of McCoy, and a method of analytic continuation in the space of coup...
متن کاملCensored Glauber Dynamics for the Mean Field Ising Model
We study Glauber dynamics for the Ising model on the complete graph on n vertices, known as the Curie-Weiss Model. It is well known that at high temperature (β < 1) the mixing time is Θ(n logn), whereas at low temperature (β > 1) it is exp(Θ(n)). Recently, Levin, Luczak and Peres considered a censored version of this dynamics, which is restricted to non-negative magnetization. They proved that ...
متن کاملGlauber dynamics of the SK model: theory and simulations in the low-temperature phase
The low-temperature Glauber dynamics of the Sherrington–Kirkpatrick spin-glass model is studied using a combination of theory and computer simulations. The theoretical approach follows the spirit of Mori’s continuous fraction expansion. The predicted amplitude of the long-time decay of the time-dependent equilibrium spin–spin correlation function agrees well with the Glauber dynamics simulation...
